After a great six months, I am stepping down as Editor-In-Chief of the Zindra times.

I will be writing articles, on occasion.  I am going to be concentrating on photography for now.

Well, Fellow Zindrans..

Today Suede went wandering and found a very nice, very busy Lesbian Hangout called Lesperado.

It's this cool skybox in the shape of a large gothic mansion.. very dark and womb like, it has 3 floors and seems like a secret basement which I could see, but could not work out how to get into.There are plenty of places to cuddle and a dance floor on the 2nd level at the top of the grand staircase which seems to be where all the women collect.


There was quite a variety of women and most of them were older established avatars, well dressed and looking good, generally you tp in at the bottom of the staircase and when you get to the top.. you greet everyone.. it seems very friendly and respectful.. I saw a couple of shiny nude people.. but honestly..they were the exception not the rule.


If you meet someone nice and need a little privacy there are suites available and I think they are free or at least free to group members, group members can also grab the tattoo for your back.. which says Lesperado in flowing script.. it's kinda nice.

Shocking Machinima Produced in Zindra - Is this a new low for Sex in Second Life?

Note from the editor: This raunchy flick was filmed at the Museum of Sex Furniture in Zindra and stars two ridiculously endowed blond homosexual avatars trying to educate this clueless German Shepherd on the proper way to conduct intercourse.

Although this editor does see the comic value in such productions, there is a complete lack of taste in this video. This video aims at shock, and has absolutely no social value. Searching For Activity in Kama Center- and Finding Kat's House

This editor went looking in the usually destitute Kama Center area- Kama Center and the 8 sims immediately surrounding it tonight.  These 9 sims, including the Mosh monorail station,  heralded as the "double primmed center" of exciting new Zindra by Linden five months ago are usually empty.

To my surprise, I found a well attended establishment.  The Kat's house which advertise itself as a BDSM place. However, it was warm friendly and inviting, with some very attractive and sociable lady dancers including the lovely Honey Macpherson below.

 

Kat's house does not seem cold and sterile but invites you in from inside. The dancers are sexy. Although I did not participate in the action which is available at the club, if you are so inclined, please check it out!

Large Gay Retail and Residential Complex Moves to Zindra

There has been a paucity of well known Gay establishments relocating to Zindra. Sebastian Gym is a well known Gay complex that is moving to the South Continent, in fact they are one of the first large-scale developments in the new Southwest.  There new center on Wirreno sim looks very attractive, and is going up quickly.  Please contact Mick Lukas if you are interested in moving there, there is retail space that will avialble for rent.

Are things this futile trying to make money with adult content?

Emilly Orr's Blog makes a good point of showing how the entire Zindra content policy has caused negative ramifications event with businesses that are not adult rated. Also here take on third party viewers possibly being banned in something that emerald users do not want to see happen.
 
"Okay, maybe it's not exactly like that, but seriously--six months after Zindra surfaced from the virtual waters, there are people in compliance with the policy, who got Zindra land, put up new shops, uprooted everything...and have 40 to 70% loss of profit to show for it. As I travel around SL and Zindra, the question I am asked second most often is, "How do I become a porn star in SL?" (By the way, the first most asked question is the always subtle, "Wanna fuck?").

The first thing you need to know about the SL adult business is that there is NO BUSINESS. No one is making money off of it. Which means you won't get paid for being in a SL adult film. In fact, some people even CHARGE for the privilege.

SL Pornstars are mostly people who like the voyeuristic thrill. Most of us secretly want to do porn in RL but know that it can be a little scary to do for real. So this is a fun and exciting way to work out your fantasy. I know I've had multiple orgasms in RL every time the camera has been on Jennnnna :)

So if you really want to "get into the business" here are my suggestions:

1. Make sure your Avatar up-to-date.
Make sure you have the latest skin and hair. Guys have a penis. And make sure the color matches your skin (one of my biggest turnoffs is an unmatched cock).

2. Know how to use a Sex Bed
Directors don't want to have to teach you how to have SL sex. Ladies, don't pick a hair or clothes that makes the animation look unrealistic. Also guys, don't have an erection that is so big you go through your partner. It doesn't look good on camera when you impale your co-star!

3. Get to know the Directors
You can't make a film without these people. The most active directors are Ruff Brocco, Roberto Highfield, Katerine Avon, Flame Broek & Kathrein Henhouse. I've also begun directing some movies.

Get to know them. Say hello in an IM. Follow their movies on my blog (link is at the end). Go hang out at their place on Zindra (Ruff for one, has a huge sim there.) Let them know how much you like their work. And that you want to be in one of their movies. And eventually you will!

Owain Raymaker: Let me fill you in with some history...

I work closely with Sylva Petrov - we have a Pro Builder group together...

We knew that the adult rating was going to be an issue, so she offered me some land. I relocated but found that people found it difficult to tp into the sim once the adult status had been set up.

Suede Sixpence: Yes, there are quite a lot of problems like that

Owain Raymaker: So I decided to split the products - PG and Adult.

So far the PG traffic has almost doubled.

Suede Sixpence : and how about here in your Adult section.. is business holding up Owain Raymaker: Sylva offered this area for my adult sets - so I will back to full capacity in a day or two. Just setting it up - but I am sure it will be very lucrative.

Suede Sixpence: grins..sex always sells, okay so of course I know you do that 6 minute sex animation, is there any particular one you really like

Owain Raymaker: Yeah - It's where I started - back in Jan 2007 :-) The Lovers has been a great seller, but I think 'The Kiss' as an intense, passionate couple animation is one of my favourite. I would like to develop that into a love scene in the near future.

Owain Raymaker: I use Poser 7 Pro, but I have also started to use a new mocap program for developing new dances and AOs. I have invested a lot into the mocap system - so I intend to make it work. Most of the equipment I have used has been from my RL profession.

Suede Sixpence: is there any concerns you have moving to Zindra.. or are you optimistic

Owain Raymaker: Once people understand about altering their prefs to get in, I am sure things will get back to normal. Can I just say that even though we are competition, there are a number of use creators that work closely together.

Sylva Petrov, Nandana Singh and Toothfairy Tizzy have been great colleagues to work with. As well as my fab staff :-) Craig Altman and Strokers are the more well known names, but these guys are moving and shaking SL.

Owain Raymaker: My main sim has the store with 2 floors and a grunge club situated next to it.

Suede Sixpence: yes I and I know you also do a raffle picks rewards type thingy.. with a 1000 linden prize and also you have amob vendor right

Owain Raymaker: Yeah - every week - MobVend is fab! I have near crashed the sim with some products in it! Really was a flash mob.

Suede Sixpence: I have been over a couple of times.. your store is always busy

Owain Raymaker: Was up to 120 unique visitors a day, before going adult.

Will pick up again.

Suede Sixpence: you must be reading my mind..I was just gonna ask you that, what percentage of people buy a product from you

Owain Raymaker: smiles….. Ummm....Good point, Probably made around $10000 usd last year.
