BBC Covers Adult Content

The BBC Technology Blog, dot.life covered adult content on Wednesday, along with a generally negative report on the future prognosis of SL. Included were some new mainstream media links.

The blog contradicts itself - it first asks if Second Life can survive without hardcore sex, and then says that the hardcore sex stays on private islands and concentrates in the new area.

The blog then quotes Reuters to point out that residents are into things like making clothes and socializing with people around the world that most non-users would find creepy (why creepy?).
Still, it gives an interesting insight into how the more conservative and less visionary real world media is covering the content change.

By the way, if anyone from the BBC

The comments are particularly interesting.
